The Death Mask collection found genesis when the Vancouver City Council voted for the removal of the controversial Viaducts that connected old memories with contemporary visions. The body of work developed out of the conversations that surrounded what the land had been, the lives that it had changed and the ambitions it had for the future.

All paintings in this body of works are currently held in private collections

Streets Matter

Streets Matter is the body of works created in response to the question of whether streets, in an urban environment, held any value for the urban citizen beyond that of a simple conduit. At the time of creation, I was living in an area of the city that was perceived as characterless as it’s only function was to provide an intersection between 4 main routes. Today this area is a thriving neighbourhood.
